You won't survive, but that's not what a Brutix is for anyways.
You can do exactly the same with a cane, except that it is faster, got a lower sig, twice the range and can swap damage types.

Yes well done. The cane is more expensive, everyone knows how it will be fitted and are less likely to engage it.
The price difference isn't big by any real standards and you can just armor/shield fit a cane as good as a brutix.

While I would agree that the brutix never was a really good blaster ship(since it lacked the gank/staying power of the mega and the speed of the rax back in the days), this is also true for next to any kind of blaster ship this days(except ranis/DD/comet).
